Winter Solstice. The Darkest Day of the Year.
The betwixt and between time, that magic time of not there anymore but not there yet. It is a time of being in and with shadow. We live in a culture that is afraid of the dark, unwilling to consider shadow; keeping the light burning bright, until we burn out! Shadow can be one our greatest teachers. When we look into our shadow place we see the things that stop us from growing and changing, the things that stop us in our tracks. These are the things that we need to look at closely, for to do so brings light, understanding and growth. The sun has generously given us time to hunker down, take time to mull things over, to take note. With this new information we can begin the process of conception. Until then, let’s take the time to be with shadow, let that which no longer serves melt away, leaving room for that which you cannot image!
